A very quick sketch (and half-assed color job) of Jo and Meg from Bakuretsu Tenshi, drawn right after I'd finished the series. It had potential. The main plot (there was a MAIN PLOT. Hard to believe, innit?) could've gone to really cool places if only GONZO wasn't so tunnelvisioned about making the show solely about boobs, ass, ballistics, and ambiguously lesbianic mech pilots.
For just a quick work, it turned out wonderfully well. But then, I've always been sort of partial to liking sketchy-looking roughs. Though not to say this piece isn't worthy of admiration; it's quite deserving of attention. And the simplicity of it (in my opinion, anyway) only adds to it.
...but you sure as hell aren't kidding. Ahaha. I agree that it had potential, no doubt there. And the action sequences were fantastic, especially involving the mechs. But... yea. I think you summed it up just about right. <snicker>
