My 2nd commission for who's a super great artist whom I admire who also happens to be one of the most prominent (and my favorite!) Legion of Superheroes fanartist.
As per whenever I draw Brainy this was both fun and difficult to draw, mostly cuz I like to draw my humans fleshy, and Brainy (the cartoon one, at least) is an android. So he turned out a little fleshy for an android. >_>; I tried to be creative with his pose but this was the best I could come up with; I wanted him floaty-in-cyberspace kinda, and after a few considerations just settled for one with a nice view of his face and him in as passive and waif-like a position as possible. We like our Brainiac 5s passively emo and waif-like, Y/Y? 8D Anyway, added some tech-y looking hexagonal patterns in the bg because it looked too blank and cop-outy otherwise.
Awesome coloring and lineart! I do think the hexagonal patterns distract the eye too much from the main subject. But that's just my take on things. I love fan art that differs from the original style it was created in!

I love the colors and how you made him 'fleshy'. The lighting is also very nice and I like his expression. Plus it makes me wanna play with his hair. X3

I don't have a problem with canon, non-canon, straight, gay or any other of that nonsense. I have a problem with incest but as long as it isn't real life & it is drawn well I will pretend that they're not related for the sake of a job well done. Love wins
Wow, this is fantastic! I dearly love Brainy. ^_~ The coloring here is dynamic and the lighting really pops. The method you used really ties the background colors into the figure and makes the atmosphere of the image work quite nicely. I think his eyes and hair are my favorite parts. Well done!
Personally, I think his colour scheme is awful, but you really pull it off! This is really cool, everything from the pose to the style and the colours.
We want to know what love means to you!

Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
