9 year old jim's last desperate plea to his father as he left the dock on the ship and never came back. *sniff* Always wanted to do this pic cuz this scene's so fickin sad. And the song.. *shakes head, sighs* Always makes me at least tear at the eyes. Tears Taking a shot at the "speedlines" style, it was damn hard trying to make the lines parallel to each other cuz i keep forgetting about it. Stupid Me! *scrutinizes pic* Still looks a bit weird. Methinks the eyes are too far apart. frustrated And i kept jacking things up so i hadda keep colouring over and over, so the lines came out *way* darker than i had originally intended it to look. And i thought his nose looks funny too. o_O;; Mostly i'm pissed that i failed at making him look sufficiently sad. There ought to be more pain and longing in his expression.. But i'm overall *quite* happy with the result.. if i could only ignore those stoopid li'l mistakes i made... OMG! I guess it'd look fine as long as you don't stare at it too long. c_c;;

I just got to say: WOW! I love it! You've done a really good job. I'm also drawing, (have none subittet yet though)but in a totaly different style. I wish I could draw like you... Keep it going and be proud of it! :) (Smile) Thumbs Up

Cool! I think you did a good job. The only thing that strikes me as a bit odd are his eyebrows-It think they're a little too thick. But other than that, I like it. I think you got the expression you were looking for perfectly.

i love this scene in the movie, too... lovely coloring. i think the darker lines turned out well (then again, i have no idea how you originally intended it to look). his eyes are what i like the most... great lighting/shading effects.
